Halloween 2012

I am home with Finn who is sick with cold number 5* (In case you were keeping track.) So, there will be no Halloween celebration tonight.  Luckily, we got our fall festivities on this last weekend before Sandy came to town--complete with a costume photo opp so I will check off this particular holiday as successfully celebrated.

Picking out pumpkins

Pumpkins in wagon

Carrying the haul back to the car.

Putting candy in his basket.

Getting candy from the crazy lady in front of the bookstore.

Telling dad he wants to go home.
And.....we are done.
Can't say that Finn was super thrilled about his introduction to trick-or-treating.  Sure, getting treats was o.k., but I don't think it made up for the stress of seeing people decked out in strange costumes who persisted in talking to him.

Instead, Finn found pumpkin patching much more enjoyable with fewer people, lots of animals, and fun hay mazes to run around in.  More photos can be found here.

*Regarding Finn's colds: we went to the doctor for the second time in two months, thinking it had to be something new this time, right?  No.  Just. Another. Cold.  The doctor wasn't terribly concerned given the time of year and the fact they have all been "run-of-the-mill" viral infections.  I am grateful that it isn't something more serious,'s killing me.  And it isn't all that fun for Finn either.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Halloween!
