The Death of an Idol

"When you dance with Cyd Charisse, you've been danced with."
--Fred Astaire

Because when I day dream about dancing, I day dream that I look like this:

Ummm.....not too far off, right? What I wouldn't give to dance with Fred Astaire AND Gene Kelly. Do you think such requests will be honored in the after-life. If so, I am putting in my request Right. Now.

Oh what?! Sorry, that was me dreaming again.

Watching her dance gives me this wild desire to be a Vamp in an alternate reality. Is that wrong? Because, it doesn't seem exactly moral.

In looking up the word Vamp, I came across these definitions:

Vamp: A type of Femme Fatale.

Femme Fatale: an alluring and seductive woman whose charms ensnare her lovers in bonds of irresistible desire, often leading them into compromising, dangerous, and deadly situations. A femme fatale tries to achieve her hidden purpose by using feminine wiles such as beauty, charm, and sexual allure. She usually drives her lover to the point of obsession and exhaustion so that he is incapable of making rational decisions.

I mean, that sounds shockingly like fun. Am I the only one who thinks this? We might have to delve a little deeper into this topic in a different post.

Cyd Charrise--you were a talent extroidinare. Thank you for sharing your gift with us. And when I attain femme fatale status, I will be sure to note you as the benefactress.
